Obituary of Barney Vincent Russo

Las Vegas, Nevada - Barney passed away peacefully with loved ones and his beloved dog Outlaw by his side, of complications from diabetes. Born and raised in Monterey, he moved to Las Vegas in 1992. With his beautiful voice and passion to entertain, he helped form and became the lead singer of The Desert Outlaws, a country/southern rock band. They opened for famous artists such as Garth Brooks, Tricia Yearwood and many more. He is survived by his wife Natalie. His sons Anthony (Dominique), Patrick and Ryan. Grandchildren Kaedyn and Mackenzie. Father Barney Vincent Russo Sr. (Merrily) Mother Katherine Amelio (Larry-deceased). Sisters Genelle Longueira (Ron) Annette Smith (Mike) and Josephine Grimm (Don). Step brothers Larry Amelio (Joan) and Joe Amelio (Tawny). Aunts Phyllis Clickard (Steve) and Mary Wells (Roger) and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his Uncle Paul D'Agui, Cousin Paulie D'Agui, Step Sister Maryanne DiMaggio, and many beloved Aunts, Uncles and Grandparents. The Rosary will be recited on Tuesday, Dec 1st at 7 pm, Mission Mortuary and Burial Mass Wednesday Dec. 2nd 9:30 am, San Carlos Cathedral. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory can be made to The American Diabetes Association, - www.diabetes.com.
