Obituary of Bessie B. Webb

Bessie Barco Webb was born on October 10, 1933 in South Mills, North Carolina, to John and Emma Jane Roach-Barco. She was preceded in death by her mother Emma Barco, and Father John Barco. Bessie was the youngest of six children, two sisters, Ernestine Barco, and three brothers, Caleb, Charlie, and Abner Barco. Bessie was a Second Grade School Teacher for 34 years; 6 in Newark, NJ and 28 at La Mesa Elementary where she retired from the Monterey Peninsula School District. Bessie also received her Bachelor's Degree in Education. She was a member of the Carmelita Chapter No 38 in Peninsula Lodge No 46. She was an active member of Friendship Baptist Church for over 40 years where she served on the Usher Board, Sunday School Board, as a Sunday School Teacher, Mission Board and also the choir Ruth Circle. She is survived by her husband of 38 years, C'Lester L. Webb of Seaside, CA; her only daughter, Angela Foxworth of Chula Vista, CA; her three grandchildren, Miesha LiDrazzah, Reginald Foxworth II, Aikeem Foxworth all of Chula Vista, CA; and her four great grandchildren: Cherrish LiDrazzah, Heaven LiDrazzah, Zion LiDrazzah and the newest baby, Azzaria Smith also of Chula Vista, Ca. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. She had a kind and gentle spirit, liked everyone and was always willing to give her last. The viewing will be held on Wed. July 29th from 5pm-8pm at Seaside Funeral Home, 1915 Ord Grove Ave. in Seaside, and the Homegoing Celebration on Thurs. July 30th at 11am at Friendship Baptist Church, 1440 Broadway Ave. in Seaside, Ca.
