Obituary of Efren L.G. Techaira

Efren L.G. Techaira passed away peacefully on July 19, 2023 at Community Hospital of Monterey Peninsula. He is survived by his wife, Rosie, son, Patrick Techaira, his two daughters, Sandra Heckel (Roger), and Kimberly Techaira; his three grandchildren, Roger Jr., and Jenna Heckel and Cierra Techaira and two great grandchildren, Elliana and Isabella Romero. Efren and Rosie were married for what would have been 59 years on July 24th. Efren was a proud veteran. He served in the Army for 21 years. He was a drill sergeant, served in Vietnam and was an Army recruiter. He retired as Sergeant 1st Class. He also worked for the state of California EDD as the Disabled Veterans Representative and lead the Hire a Vet program. He retired from the state after 22 years.

Efren touched so many people’s lives. He was the life of the party and always had a joke for you. He will long be remembered for his sense of humor and generosity. Special thanks to all the physicians and nurses that were there to aid my father and comfort our family up until his final days.
