Obituary of Carol Anne Schmidtke

Funeral services for Carol Anne Schmidtke, of Monterey, will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, August 3, 2023 at the Mission Mortuary Chapel in Seaside, California.  Pastor Tim King will officiate.  Burial will immediately follow. 
 
Ms. Schmidtke passed away on May 24, 2023. Born in Monterey, she was a daughter of the late, Earl Richardson of Missouri and Virginia F. Haglar of Arizona.  
 
Survived by her son, Steven Mitchell of Texas, grandson Jonathan of Texas, as well as aunts, uncles, cousins, and close personal friends.

Carol Anne was a true animal lover and advocate for our local shelters and rescue organizations. She spent a great amount of time reminiscing of memories of her beloved Collie, Old Shep.
