Obituary of John Neil Erickson

Mr. John Neil Erickson passed away on August 23, 2023. Born in New York, he was a son of the late Neil Erickson and Frieda Miller. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, son, and friend who enjoyed listening to music, and watching his favorites sports teams.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Julia, his son, Michael, sister, Joan, and grandson, Ranger, and his parents Neil and Frieda Erickson.

Surviving is his son Eric, grandchildren Josias, Julia, Melena, Masi, and Peanut, great grandchildren, and countless other beloved family members.

He enjoyed listening to classic country music and really liked listening to talk radio. He enjoyed watching the Fox News Channel, football, and WWE wrestling. John always enjoyed walking the family dog, Reese, around the dog park.

John was awarded the Vietnam Service Medal, and the Vietnam Campaign Medal along with several other decorations, medals, badges, and campaign ribbons during his 20-year career with the U.S. Army as a mechanic. He also spent 20 years in civil service in parts and maintenance on Fort Ord and American Protective Services as a field supervisor security guard.
